DAY 6: Fairbanks
Sternwheelers once serviced the gold
seekers in Dawson by navigating the Yukon
River all the way through Alaska from the
Bering Sea. Today, you can relive some of
that experience on the Riverboat Discovery
Cruise. You’ll see a wonderful interpretive
site depicting Alaska of old as well as have
a chance to see a dog sled demonstration.
Today will also include a short city tour of
Fairbanks. This evening you will visit the
Alaskaland show with a buffet Salmon
barbecue DINNER and Vaudeville show.

DAY 7: Anchorage
Today you will pass Denali National Park
and Mt. McKinley, the highest mountain
on the continent, as we make our way to
Anchorage. Anchorage is the largest city
north of the 60th parallel. A completely
modern looking city it offers the best
shopping and dining opportunities of the
tour. You’ll spend two nights here. (B)
DAY 8: Anchorage
A short city tour will acquaint you with
the highlights of the city after which you’ll
have the balance of the day to enjoy at your
leisure. (B)
DAY 9: Valdez
An exciting day is in store today as you
travel to the coast port of Whittier aboard
a train from Anchorage. Next you board a
tour boat for an informative cruise across
Prince William Sound, featuring Glaciers,
wildlife and the rugged Alaskan Coastline.
Late in the afternoon we arrive in the Port
of Valdez. Valdez is often compared to
Switzerland due to its picturesque mountain
setting. Our Motor Coach will transfer us to
the Valdez Hotel. (B)
DAY 10: Beaver Creek
Today marks a day of scenic driving through
the Chugach mountains, then past the
Wrangell mountains bordering Alaska
and the Yukon. Making your way back to
Canada will take you through Tok Junction
and then on to Beaver Creek. Dinner
and Show is included this evening at the
Westmark Hotel. (B,D)
DAY 11: Whitehorse
The first major stop today will be at Haines
Junction. Here at the gate of Kluane
National Park you’ll enjoy an interesting
interpretive show put on by Parks Canada.
Then, it is off to Whitehorse. Visit the
interpretive centre this afternoon located at
the S.S. Klondike National Historic Site. (B)
DAY 12: Home
Our far north experience comes to an end
with a few final pictures, before we board
the airplane and return to our home cities!
