Sailing the St. Lawrence River
A true full masted Sailing Ship
DAY 1: Toronto to Montreal
Joining together this morning from various
points in Southern Ontario, we set out for
Montreal. Upon our arrival a guided city
tour will introduce you to the wonderful
French Canadian atmosphere of this
incredible city. The evening is yours to
explore the city on your own.
DAY 2: Montreal to Quebec City
Enjoy breakfast in your Hotel before we
depart for Quebec City, a city that resembles
no other city in the world. Founded more
than three and a half centuries ago, it is
a city steeped in history. This afternoon a
complete orientation tour of historic Quebec
City, including Upper Town, Lower Town,
Old Quebec, Plains of Abraham, La Citadelle,
Place Royale and points of interest in
modern Quebec City. Enjoy your evening by
sampling some of Quebec’s Restaurants or
exciting night life. (B)
DAY 3: Quebec City Port
A relaxing breakfast this morning as you
prepare for boarding the ship at noon
today. Setting sail in the afternoon we head
through a river overflowing in riches. You will
marvel at the immense St. Lawrence River
with its bewitching isles, numerous whales,
wide variety of seabirds and unforgettable
sunsets. You will be enchanted by the
ancestral villages dotting the length of its
banks. It’s an overnight cruise and a chance
to relax, get oriented with the ship and enjoy
the scenic coastline. (B,D)
DAY 4: Tadoussac, QC
With the sun rising, we wake in Tadoussac,
home to the majesty of the St. Lawrence
River, the Saguenay Fjord – the only one
in North America, huge dunes and a lovely
lake. Activities are endless this day, from
hiking or experiencing the Sand Dunes, an
absolute must, to visiting any one of the
five museums and interpretation centers.
Interested in whales? Then you must visit
Quality Tours You Deserve
the Center of Interpretation of the Marine
Mammals (CIMM). Maybe salmon fishing is
your choice, then a visit to the fish-breeding
station. The Chauvin Trading Post and the
Maison des Dunes are yours to discover
the village’s history. Your tour director will
assist you with all the choices available. In
the evening we will enjoy local seafood, fine
cheeses, innovative maple desserts and of
course the wine of the region. (B,L,D)
DAY 5: Saguenay, QC – L’anse-Saint
Jean
In the morning we set sail in the Saguenay
Fjord. The fjord is unique to the world by its
geographic location, the fantastic history
and the distribution of the population that
settled along the entire length of its shores.
A naturalist has joined us for this part of the
sail giving insight into this magical area. For
lunch the Chef prepares an on deck mixed
grill of local game and seafood seasoned
with true Quebec maritime flavour. Docking
this late afternoon in L’Anse-Saint-Jean,
you will have time explore this unique area.
The evening finds us feasting on the Chef’s
regional creations as we’re entertained by
local musicians. (B,L,D)
DAY 6: L’Ile aux Lievres
At sunrise, we set sail to Ile aux Lievres.
Various sailing activities will be available
for you to encounter this morning. Keep
you binoculars handy as it’s a great spot for
viewing porpoises, humpbacks and menke
whales that all frequent this area. Arriving in
Ile aux Lievres, one of the estuary’s best-kept
secrets, discover natural lookouts, explore
deserted beaches or watch the seals dozing
on the upper part of the beach. (B,L,D)
DAY 7: La Malbaie – Grosse Ile
This morning we enjoy breakfast while we
are sailing, surrounded by vast scenery as
we set our course for La Malbaie. A mixture
of mountains and forests, La Malbaie is
located in Quebec’s Charlevoix County.

endless choices. Late afternoon we set
sail on a “Happy Hour” cocktail cruise with
wine tasting, traditional folk music and the
Chef preparing one of his famous regional

DAY 8: Grosse Ile – Quebec City
With the morning brings a warm welcome
in Gosse Ile. A Parks Canada guide joins us
to share their knowledge of the Island. An
air of wonder will accompany your visit to
the monuments, burial grounds, structures
and historic buildings. The evening is time
for a celebratory “Captains Dinner”, a night
of song, food and laughter. After dinner
we enjoy a moonlight cruise before arriving
back in Quebec City. (B,L,D)
DAY 9: Quebec City to Home
Following breakfast this morning, totally
relaxed and rejuvenated we will be making
our way back into Ontario and return to our
joining points. (B)
