Swinging into Charleston and Savannah
Where history, charm and southern hospitality are yours!
DAY 1: Toronto to Cincinnati, Ohio
Departing this morning early from our
Ontario joining points, we will be crossing
the border into Detroit and heading south to
Cincinnati, OH, where we will be staying for
our first evening.
DAY 2: Asheville, North Carolina
Following breakfast this morning, we
make our way south through Kentucky,
Tennessee and into North Carolina. Arriving
in Asheville, the “Gateway to the Smoky
Mountains” where we have planned Dinner
together. The evening is yours to explore or
relax. (B,D)
DAY 3: Savannah, Georgia
This morning we will be visiting the
amazing Biltmore Mansion. Located on over
8,000 acres, this 112 year old mansion has
an incredible family history, well known for
its world renowned wines, neatly manicured
gardens and heavenly dining options
around the estate. This afternoon we arrive
in Savannah, with time to settle in and
freshen up, before we all join together for
Dinner in this charming southern city. (B,D)
DAY 4: Savannah, Georgia
Starting your morning off with Breakfast
in your hotel, we will be off to enjoy a
Guided City Tour of the remarkable area,
from historic homes to stories of her
place in history, Savannah has so much to
discover. You may choose to have Lunch
at Savannah’s City Market – Dine outdoors
at a European-style cafe or eat in one of
the Market’s restored buildings, each has
its own quirky charm. After lunch, you will
have a free afternoon to enjoy a walk and
check out some of Savannah’s magnificent
architecture, or stroll through Forsyth Park,
one of Savannah’s signature spots. The
afternoon and evening is yours to get caught
up in Savannah, your way, or follow the
suggestions of your Tour Director. (B)
DAY 5: Savannah, Georgia
Following breakfast we’ll be off to catch
the excitement of the Dolphins, on the Bull
River Cruise’s, we will make our way to out
into the Atlantic Ocean on a 2 hr. cruise.
Upon our return you will have time to relax
along Savannah’s beachfront or climb to
the top of Georgia’s oldest, and tallest
lighthouse, to watch for the shrimp boats as
they come ashore. This evening dine at one
of the many seaside restaurants for some of
the freshest seafood ever. (B)
DAY 6: Charleston, South Carolina
This morning we will enjoy our breakfast
before we depart for Charleston, South
Carolina. With all its stately homes, historic
landmarks, world-class restaurants, galleries
and plantations, Charleston has quickly
become one of the top travel destinations
in the US. Upon our arrival, we will visit
some of these sites with a guided city tour,
where a local guide will unfold the history
and stories along the streets of this amazing
city. (B)
DAY 7: Charleston, SC
Starting your day with breakfast, we
find ourselves enroute to the Magnolia
Plantation & Gardens. These gardens are
the oldest American gardens (c.1680),
and a visit to Magnolia Plantation brings
the old world, southern charm alive! This
afternoon, you will get the chance to
choose from a Harbor Cruise, a walking tour
of the downtown historical area, a relaxing
game of golf, visit one of Charleston’s
many wonderful Museums, take in some
shopping, or just relax at your hotel. Your
Tour Director will be glad to help you with
your choices. (B)
DAY 8: Wytheville, VA
This morning we bid farewell to Charleston
and start making our way north into
Virginia, to Wytheville. Still retaining its

classic small town charm, is proud of its
50 year old landmark, the “Big Pencil.
Constructed in the 1950s, it is made of
metal and is approximately 30 feet long.
A local art gallery, jewelry store, outfitters
shop, and home furnishings facility are
just a few of the interesting stops in the
center of the downtown. Enjoy this quaint
community with a stroll down its main
street. (B)
DAY 9: Pittsburgh, PA
After a hearty breakfast at your hotel, we
are off to Pittsburgh for our next night stay.
Arriving in late afternoon, you will have
time to settle in and freshen up before our
Farewell Dinner this evening. Come and join
us as we reminisce these past several days
and all the great times we enjoyed. (B,D)
DAY 10: Home
Departing early this morning, after breakfast
at your hotel, you will be enroute back to the
border, stopping at Duty Free, then crossing
into Ontario and homeward bound. (B)
