New England / Cape Cod
Four nights on Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard & a lobster dinner
DAY 1: Fly to Toronto, Ontario
From your local airport, you will fly to
Toronto today, with Westjet airlines. Upon
arrival, we have arranged an overnight
stay at the new Toronto Airport Sandman
Hotel, and so the shuttle will pick you up at
Pearson Airport and take you to the hotel.
DAY 2: Albany, NY
Join us this morning as we board the motor
coach to the famous New England area.
We travel the Niagara Peninsula and into
New York State to Albany for overnight.
DAY 3: Cape Cod, Massachusetts
Following your included Breakfast this
morning, you are enroute to the “Cityby-the-Sea”
-- Newport, Rhode Island
-- America’s first resort. Here we proceed
down 10-mile Drive lined with many of the
famous and opulent mansions which were
“summer cottages” for the elite families of
Newport. A tour of The Breakers is planned.
History buffs and dreamers of the Gilded
Age and the Great Gatsby days will be
astounded by The Breakers which was built
for Cornelius Vanderbilt and styled after a
northern Italian Palazzo. It contains seventytwo
rooms, many of them unequaled for
magnificence in the United States. You will
be at your leisure for lunch and shopping
along the waterfront at Bowen’s Wharf and
Bannister’s Wharf. Working commercial
fishermen and their boats as well as yachts
nearby lend a salty look to the area. This
afternoon we continue to beautiful Cape
Cod with an included dinner this evening.
We stay on Cape Cod for four nights. (B,D)
DAY 4: Cape Cod, Massachusetts
Today, your Tour Director will assist you to
the Hy-Line docks where you will board a
vessel for a cruise to the “Storybook Island”
of Martha’s Vineyard. Upon arrival you will
board a local bus for a Down Island Tour.
You will learn the history and lifestyle of
the islanders as you travel through the
island’s villages. Lunch and shopping are
on your own in the historic whaling village
of Edgartown. Departure back to Hyannis is
mid afternoon. (B)
DAY 5: Cape Cod, Massachusetts
Breakfast is served today prior to our local
Cape Cod guide taking us down historic
Route 6A to Cape Cod’s oldest town-
SANDWICH where you will view the village
green, the Great Salt Marsh, a cranberry
bog and Cape Cod Bay. While in Sandwich,
a stop at the Sandwich Glass Museum
is planned. Highlighted today is a Whale
Watching Cruise, departing from Barnstable
Harbor. Bring your camera to capture the
beautiful coastline and the “gentle giants”
of the sea. Upon docking, your guide
will conduct a tour of the Hyannis area,
including the John F. Kennedy Memorial,
Korean War Memorial, Hyannisport and a
view of St. Francis Xavier Church. Tonight
an included Lobster Dinner. (B,D)
DAY 6: Cape Cod at leisure
Continental breakfast included this morning
at our hotel. Today will be a day to do as you
choose. There are many wonderful options,
from strolling Main Street Hyannis, or an
optional tour to Provincetown. Your tour
director will offer suggestions. (B)
DAY 7: Springfield, MA
Continental breakfast included this morning
before leaving the Cape for a visit to the
“Gateway City” -- BOSTON where you will
note the blend of the “Old and New” in this
historic yet modern city. Enjoy a Boston
city tour, which will have us traveling on
portions of the Freedom Trail, view the
Back Bay, Beacon Hill, Boston Common,
the Public Gardens and a picture stop at the
U.S.S. Constituition. Lunch and shopping
are on your own at Quincy Market. Our
departure from Boston takes us across the
state of Massachusetts, to our overnight
accommodation in Springfield. Our farewell
dinner will be in Springfield. (B,D)

DAY 8: Toronto, ON
Through New York State today, a short stop
at the duty free store, prior to our return to
Ontario. For those flying home to Western
Canada, a final night of accommodation has
again been arranged at the new Toronto
Airport Sandman Hotel. (B)
DAY 9: Home
Today the hotel shuttle will transfer you
back to Pearson Airport for your return flight
to your departure city.
