DAY 8: North Sydney
Today we travel the Nova Scotian
countryside, before crossing over the Canso
Causeway to find ourselves on Cape Breton
Island. We visit the Alexander Graham Bell
Museum, for an interesting look at the
life of this famous inventor. Tonight we
stay in North Sydney, so that we are close
to the boarding location for the ferry to
Newfoundland. (B)
DAY 9: Cornerbrook
A morning ferry crossing takes us
to Canada’s most easterly province,
Newfoundland. We arrive in the coastal
community of Port aux Basques, and
then aboard the motor coach we travel to
Cornerbrook for overnight. (B)
DAY 10: Gander
This morning we visit Gros Morne National
Park for a look at some of Newfoundland’s
most rugged landscapes. Crossing the
island province, we arrive in Gander for two
nights. (B)
DAY 11: Gander
A circle tour of the “heart” of
Newfoundland, as we visit a number of
coastal fishing villages. You will visit the
Long Point Lighthouse and Prime Berth
Fishing Museum, learning of the true
culture of the local people. Return to Gander
for overnight. (B)
DAY 12: St. John’s
A Tour through the heart of Terra
Nova National Park, takes us to the
Newfoundland coast and the beautiful city
of St. John’s for a two night stay. (B)
DAY 13: St. John’s
A guided tour of Newfoundland’s capital
city will be the highlight of the morning. In
the afternoon we visit Cape Spear, North
America’s most easterly point. Tonight you
will become an “official” Newfoundlander
during the included Dinner. (B,D)
DAY 14: Sydney
We leave St. John’s early this morning to be
on time in Argentia and board the ferry for
the crossing back to Nova Scotia. Our arrival
in Sydney will be later in the evening. (B)
DAY 15: Sydney
We take time to catch our breath this
morning with some free time. This
afternoon we visit the Fortress Louisbourg,
originally built by the French to protect their
claim on the New World. (B)
DAY 16: Charlottetown
Today you will have a fabulous view of
Bras d’or Lake and a chance to see Rita
McNeil’s Tea House. In the afternoon we
board a ferry to Prince Edward Island, the
traditional way of travel onto the Island. We
will be checking into a downtown hotel for
2 nights. This evening we enjoy a Lobster
Dinner, an absolute must for every visitor to
Atlantic Canada. (B,D)
DAY 17: Charlottetown
A local guide takes us on a morning tour
around P.E.I. including visits to the Anne of
Green Gables Home, Cavendish Beach and
the PEI Preserve Company. In the afternoon
you have free time to enjoy downtown
Charlottetown, where you might consider a
visit to Founders Hall. This is a terrific look
at the history of our great country. (B)

DAY 18: Campbellton
A modern wonder of the world presents
itself as we depart Prince Edward Island,
the Confederation Bridge. Opened in 1997,
this incredible structure spans a distance
of 12.9 km and is the world’s first Ice
Breaking Bridge. In contrast to the Loyalist
communities of western New Brunswick,
today we tour the Acadian Historical Village.
Hear the energetic music and witness the
good natured people who played a very
significant role in the early days of the
Maritimes. Tonight we are in Campbellton
for overnight. (B)
DAY 19: Montreal
Today we return to the province of Quebec
and follow the St. Lawrence river, past Trois
Rivieres to Montreal. Here we enjoy a final
dinner together in the historic part of the
city. (B,D)
DAY 20: Toronto
During our last day of travel, we can
exchange addresses with our new friends,
and remember fondly, the fun we had
enjoying Atlantic Canada together! (B)
DAY 21: Home
Today the hotel shuttle will transfer you
back to Pearson Airport for your return flight
to your departure city.
